Books I've Read recently

- Bram Stoker's Dracula - Loved the book and am now trying to get hold of the movie
- Bridget Jones' Diary, Helen Fielding - thought the film was quite funny, didn't like the book much. Won't bother with the second one!
- His Dark Materials, Philip Pullman - good story, very well written and quite thought provoking I felt, definately stuff going on under the surface although I'm not entirely sure what!
- Interview with the vampire, Anne Rice - another great book which has made me want to watch the film!
- Sabriel, Garth Nix - Brilliant fantasy, very inventive, I'd highly recommend it and am now trying to get hold of the next book in the series, lirael.
- Treasure Island, Robert Louis Stevenson - worth a read but not one of my favourites
- Beauty, Robin McKinley - A fantastic retelling of beauty and the beast
- Truckers and Diggers, Terry Pratchett - Really liked these, now need to read Wings and start on Discworld!
- Shadowmancer, G.P. Taylor - This sounded like a really good book but was incredibly disappointing, very nearly gave up on this without finishing but did persevere til the end, not really worth it though

Glad to read your comment on Bridget Jones' Diary. I haven't seen the movie, but didn't really like the book so wasn't going to bother. Perhaps it's worth a watch.
