- 101 Dalmatians, Dodie Smith - saw the animated version (1961) and later the live-action version (1996) starring Glenn Close as Cruella de Vil. Haven't seen any of the other versions.
- Alice in Wonderland, Lewis Carroll - I've seen the Disney animated version (1951) and another couple of TV versions... there's been so many adaptations of this classic.
- His Dark Materials, Philip Pullman - A movie of the first of the trilogy, The Golden Compass, has been announced for 2007 - I'm looking forward to seeing it!
- Angel’s Ashes, Frank McCourt - directed by Alan Parker (1999)
- Animal Farm, George Orwell - I don't think I've seen either the animated version (1954) or the animatronic made for TV version (1999).
- Anne of Green Gables, L.M. Montgomery - loved the TV series (1985) as a teen, haven't seen any other versions.
- Artemis Fowl, Eoin Colfer - movie was announced for 2005 but seems to have been postponed...
