- Reflections Without Mirrors - Louis Nizer
- A diamond in the ruff for sure considering from where it came. So interesting and good I had to steal it for myself.
- The Lion's Game - Nelson DeMille
- The only bargain bin book I remembered the title to. A crime novel. Kept me pumping through the pages. I dug it.
- House of Leaves - Mark Z. Danielewski
- Wow. This book is quite the trip. I'll never forget the story Johnny Truant told the girls in the bar about working on a barge. I studied this book like the dead sea scrolls. Trying to decipher meaning out of every inch of space.
- Ender's Game - Orson Scott Card
- Nope. Not my kind of book.
- The Eye of the World - Robert Jordan
- I was told about this series from several different people. And not being a fan of the JRR Tolkien series, I was a bit skeptical. I purchased it and let it sit for a few weeks. It wasn't until I was stuck on a boat for thirty days that I had the time and lack of other things to do to hack my way through it. I finished the novel feeling eager and excited to read more and wishing I purchased the next two books in the series.
- New Spring - Robert Jordan
- This is the book that stalled my reading endevour. I kept reading up until a certain point and getting bored and then setting the book down. This lasted for at least six months. Until finally one day my laptop needed a new battery and I suddenly found all this time to complete a book. After doing so I quickly grazed over the first book, The Wheel of Time, and went head first into the next in the series. I made it over the hump. I'm a completest so I was compelled to read it before any others.
- The Great Hunt - Robert Jordan
- Good stuff. But will the characters ever stop their bitching?! I was hoping that would end after the first book. Moraine Sedai is not the enemy at this point Rand al'Thor. Calm down. The plot grows ever more and the need to continue on thickens. These are not short books. 700+ pages a piece.

There weren't too many books read this year. Definitely below my norm. There were these two crime books I read on the boat, as well, that I couldn't remember the titles for. They were a couple bargain bin books that broke up the monotony. See if you can guess...
Unknown Book #1: Lady is second/third in charge of this large airliner corporation. Something goes wrong with one of her planes and they have to investigate what happened and why. Further investigation reveals some conspiracy plot...people try to kill her for her investigations....she argues with the news on what actually happened to save her company and also reveal who is really behind this act of terrorism.
Unknown Book #2: Some detective near the end of his career team up with one of the best "hackers" on file to catch another "world's best hacker" who is bent out on death and destruction. Kinda following the new Die Hard movie plot.
