I've heard a few people say that Angels and Demons was significantly better than the Da Vinci Code. What do you think? Personally, I wasn't impressed with the Da Vinci, and when I read the cover of Angels and Demons it sounded like the same plotline. Are they much different?
It is true, they start off almost exactly the same way. However, overall Angels and Demons is more interesting in my opinion. If you're just looking for a fun read then its enjoyable. Nothing spectacular.
I'm reading Angels and Demons now, and I find it interesting that at the beginning the central plot is Robert Langdon, a pretty European woman whose father figure, but not real father, was murdered mysteriously, and a crippled intellectual who hates the church are trying to solve a mystery. Sound familiar? And the head of the Swiss Guard is painfully similar to Bezu Fache. I'm only about 170 pages into Angels and Demons though, so I can't fully criticize it yet, and I realize A&D came before The Da Vinci Code. TJ is a buttface. Check out my lists.
