Books I've read in 2006

Tags:
  1. Magic Hour, Kristin Hannah Audio book, not bad but too much of a "girl" book to suit me
  2. Kill Me, Stephen White Audio book, pretty good.
  3. A Taint in the Blood, Dana Stabenow I like these Alaska novels.
  4. A Grave Denied, Dana Stabenow Good, not great.
  5. On the Run, Iris Johansen I usually like her, but I could have lived without this one.
  6. Gone, Jonathan Kellerman Not his best, but I liked it pretty well.
  7. The Fallen, T. Jefferson Parker This was a good one - different. The characters were very well-written.
  8. Gone, Lisa Gardener Enjoyed this one.
  9. Beyond Belief, Elaine Pagels Fascinating! I really enjoyed learning about the early history of the church.
  10. The Poisonwood Bible, Barbara Kingsolver I loved this book. A camp friend insisted I read it, and she was so right.
  11. How Reading Changed My Life, Anna Quindlen A must-read for any book lover. Quindlen knows us.
  12. The Tenth Circle, Jodi Picoult Enjoyed it very much, but thought it was a bit overlong.
  13. Night, Eilie Wiesel A must-read for all people. Moving and important.
  14. Can't Wait to Get to Heaven, Fannie Flagg Warm, funny, typical Flagg and a joy to read.
  15. Turning Angel, Greg Iles Good legal thriller but I hope high school life today isn't really this bad.
  16. Sleeping With Fear, Kay Hooper Not bad for keeping me awake on the way home (I listened to an audio book) but it wasn't her best work.
  17. The Prisoner of Guantanamo, Dan Fesperman Very good thriller, but it sort of fizzled out at the end.
