I love to help and nurture people. But when it came time to decide whether or not I wanted to produce a person (or people) to help and nurture I needed a lot of insight and inner reflection that I wasn't able to get from the people I talked to. These books were invaluable tools for help with not only the decision about childbearing, but for just helping me get through day to day. (Coincidentally, I chose not to have children and found out a year later that I couldn't have even if I wanted to. But it was still a relief to have these books written by and about women who validated my choice.)
