I'm sorry, no "cliché image" of Rita Hayworth comes to my mind... I know I have a blatant lack of knowledge of the 50's Hollywood movies, sorry...
But now, if you have a "cliché image" to submit for Rita Hayworth or others, do not hesitate, this could easily become a collaborative list...
I think the cliche or iconic image for RH is when she's sitting or kneeling on a bed and she shakes her hair over her eye(s). But I'm pretty sure that's in Gilda .
How about an open-to-all collaborative list on Iconic Movie Images in general. E.g. King Kong on top of the Empire State Bldg swatting at biplanes.

1. A Trip to the Moon (1902) - The rocket projectile jammed in Mr Moon's eye.
2. The Great Train Robbery (1903) - The robber shooting at the camera.
etc.
Great idea... especially since people will argue over what the one iconic image is from some movies filled with potentially iconic images... OK, I'll handle getting that list started in the coming days...
obviously I never got that list started but anyone is free to pick up bertie's idea and run with it...
