War of the Worlds: Yes, if nothing else, Speilberg is a masterful technician. :-) The only other one I've seen besides Sin City is Star Wars - from which the only scene I could swallow was "You were the chosen one!"

Is The Aristocrats really that funny? I think the joke itself is really stupid.

I think "The Aristocrats" really is that funny. The joke being stupid isn't much of a hindrance, actually.

"If I Leave Here Tomorrow" from Devil's Rejects actually raised my grade of the movie almost an entire grade. It's possibly the best final scene in any movie in 2005!

As best closing scene of the year, I'd stump for the cited scene from "The Holy Girl" (only reason I watched the film again, really), but there's never been a better use of "Freebird" anywhere. Ever. Period.

I watched about a half hour of Cache before giving up. It was like sitting through Algebra II B.

Hey bud. If you are thinking this about Cash Hey, you would probably hate all the other films of Michael Haneke in my opinion. The Continent That Is Seventh and The Video by Benny and Those Funny Games are all even more scholarly and rigorous than that film. Thanks bud.

I wish I the theaters around here would get stuff like that, because then I'd have to watch the whole thing instead of being tempted to pause it and get loaded instead. I think I stopped when the main character was having a flashback to when he watched someone chop up a chicken and never bothered to keep watching.

And don't forget What's My Code.
