  1. Mariah Carey - The most beautiful voice that made 90s ballads worthwhile. She has not only blown our socks off with her solo music, she has also provided us with some of the best duets we will ever hear of. Endless Love with Luther VanDross and Against All Odds with Boyband Westlife. For the best of her, listen to Without You and Hero!
  2. Madonna - Madonna in the 80s, something we get used to seeing on VH1 Classic and now, despite the bingo wings and the old age, she continues to entertain us with her music. To hear the queen of pop at her best, listen to Like a Virgin and Material Girl.
  3. Elvis Presley - Well, if it isn't the King of Rock'n'Roll, Elvis Presley has become one of the most famous household names the world has ever seen. he became famous for his good looks, his unique and daring style of dance and of course, that voice! Even those who aren't fond of this style of music can not so reluctantly admit to buying one of those records. For a taste of the star, listen to Blue Suede Shoes and Suspicious Minds.
  4. Jon Bon Jovi - A rock legend, this man has provided some of the most outstanding rock tracks we can ever admit to buying. His edgy style and strong voice work together to produce only the best. For the best of him have a listen to Livin on a Prayer and Always.
  5. The Beatles - Whoever hasn't heard of the Beatles hasn't lived, they gave us tunes that will live forever. They shocked the world when they released countless albums and truly brilliant songs. The members of The Beatles were Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Ringo Star and George Harrison. They were of course from the English city of Liverpool. To hear a chunk of this music era, try listening to Yellow Submarine and Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds.

Bob Marley - He's created a real stir in the music business because of his rather awesome and appealing take on reggae, although it may just sound like all other reggae tracks you've heard, Bob's lyrics seem to take on much more of a meaning and draw you in. His voice compliments the music and makes it a pleasure to listen to him. For a splash of reggae in your day, try 'No Woman No Cry' and 'One Love'.
  7. Pink Floyd - Well known for their interesting and capturing style of Rock, this English band made imprints on the audience of today. They were said to have put on some of the greatest live shows the world will ever see and their experiments with music paid off quite nicely. To hear just what I mean listen to Another Brick in the Wall and Wish You Were Here.
  8. Aretha Franklin - Better known as the Queen of Soul, her music was often played in wedding discos and still is today. Her voice combined with the music made a soothing yet upbeat style that influenced many artists of today. The karaoke stage is a hotspot for these historical tracks and the gospel style has made it world famous and extremely entertaining as a whole. For the best of this amazing vocalist, try Respect and I say a Little Prayer.
  9. Michael Jackson - Probably one of the best pop performers we will ever live to see, this man continues to make waves among the music channels and his range of styles produce some great tracks. His dancing, the music, his unique voice, put all this together and we have a Michael jackson song. He has become famous for his noises in the middle of a song such as 'hah' or 'ow', all sang at a high pitch. He is truly a pop legend and will always be so. For the best of him, listen to Thriller and Billie Jean, his videos have also made a huge stamp in music so check them out too!
  10. Rod Stewart - One of the best pop/rock artists I think both me and my Grandparents can enjoy, Rod influenced music all over the globe and continues to do so.   11. Westlife - The heartthrobs of the 90s and the noughties, containing current members Shane, Mark, Nicky and Kian. There used to be a fifth member in the shape of Brian McFadden but he left the band all those years ago. These irish boys are currently managed by the worst manager in history, Louis Walsh but enough said on that matter. They've made us laugh, cry and get funky on the dancefloor with so much more to come. For the best of the boys, seek Unbreakable and Uptown Girl.
  12. Whitney Houston - Famous for her powerful voice she has been nicknamed Whitney Warbler, which if you listen to just one song becomes very clear. Whitney has made up the soundtrack of popular film, The Bodyguard with her smash hit 'I Will Always Love You' and after having a rough time recently remains one of the greatest Power Ballad artists of all time. For the best of Whitney, check out 'I Will Always Love you' and 'I Wanna Dance With Somebody'
  13. Justin Timberlake - Made his name in boyband NSync, Justin Timberlake is a star of the noughties and isn't done yet. He's performed a range of different genres including pop, RnB and Hip Hop. His smooth voice works well with collaborators such as Timbaland and Rihanna (Featured Below). He has made a huge impact on music and shall continue to do so for years to come. Listen to 'Cry Me A River' and 'Like I Love You'
  14. Rihanna - She has taken over the charts the past few years and continues popping out hit after hit. She dominated the charts for a number of weeks with her most popular song and has recently released 'Rehab' featuring Justin Timberlake. For the best of the sensation that is Rihanna listen to 'Unfaithful' and 'Umbrella'
