  5. The Beatles - Whoever hasn't heard of the Beatles hasn't lived, they gave us tunes that will live forever. They shocked the world when they released countless albums and truly brilliant songs. The members of The Beatles were Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Ringo Star and George Harrison. They were of course from the English city of Liverpool. Bob Marley - He's created a real stir in the music business because of his rather awesome and appealing take on reggae, although it may just sound like all other reggae tracks you've heard, Bob's lyrics seem to take on much more of a meaning and draw you in.   8. Aretha Franklin - Better known as the Queen of Soul, her music was often played in wedding discos and still is today.   9. Michael Jackson - Probably one of the best pop performers we will ever live to see, this man continues to make waves among the music channels and his range of styles produce some great tracks. He has become famous for his noises in the middle of a song such as 'hah' or 'ow', all sang at a high pitch. He is truly a pop legend and will always be so.   10. Rod Stewart - One of the best pop/rock artists I think both me and my Grandparents can enjoy, Rod influenced music all over the globe and continues to do so.   11. Westlife - The heartthrobs of the 90s and the noughties, containing current members Shane, Mark, Nicky and Kian. There used to be a fifth member in the shape of Brian McFadden but he left the band all those years ago. These irish boys are currently managed by the worst manager in history, Louis Walsh but enough said on that matter. They've made us laugh, cry and get funky on the dancefloor with so much more to come. For the best of the boys, seek Unbreakable and Uptown Girl.
  12. Whitney Houston - Famous for her powerful voice she has been nicknamed Whitney Warbler, which if you listen to just one song becomes very clear. Whitney has made up the soundtrack of popular film, The Bodyguard with her smash hit 'I Will Always Love You' and after having a rough time recently remains one of the greatest Power Ballad artists of all time.   13. Justin Timberlake - Made his name in boyband NSync, Justin Timberlake is a star of the noughties and isn't done yet. He's performed a range of different genres including pop, RnB and Hip Hop. His smooth voice works well with collaborators such as Timbaland and Rihanna (Featured Below). He has made a huge impact on music and shall continue to do so for years to come.   14. Rihanna - She has taken over the charts the past few years and continues popping out hit after hit.
