The Battle for Zion was indeed spectacular to look at, but really suffered from the poor tactics on the part of the machines, which were necessary to keep the battle from being over in 30 seconds. I mean, they just kept huge throngs of squiddies in non-attacking easy-to-shoot clusters for interminable periods of time. Aesthetically compelling, but nonsensical.
Yeah, I know! The squids just circled and circled in huge clusters and never attacked until the cluster had been worn down to almost nothing.
I am sorry, but that battle scene really bored me, even ignoring the logic component. There was no human quality to it. It was just a bunch of bots, sparks, and loud explosions. And it went on for SO LONG. Give me the last Smith / Neo fight any day.
Yes, I thought that was better as well, but not what I meant. I need to rename my list title.
