Ah...a fellow beer lover. I see you like the Belgians a bit. I need to learn more about them this year. I've got a good handle on the American belgian-style beers, now I need to go back to the source.

My list is definitely not as extensive (or organized) as yours, but I thought it would be fun to keep track of where a ton of my money goes.

Belgians are my weakness, for sure. Too bad they're so hard to find and so damn expensive.

I don't know if you can get it where you are, but I tried an American Belgian-style beer tonight that was incredible. It's the Avery Reverend, a quadrupel...and holy crap is it good. It's also an ass-kicker at 10% ABV so beware.

Are the Leffe beers as good as I've been hearing?

I first tried Leffe in a small town in France that I visited for work, and in that part of the country, it's practically the equivalent of Bud. (Well, 1664 is more like Bud, so I guess that makes Leffe France's Miller Genuine Draft.)

I really, really like it. It has the same kind of spiciness and fruity qualities of other Belgians, so that may turn some people off. I prefer the Brown to the Blonde, but think that neither is in the same league as Delirium. It's a hell of a lot easier to find on tap in Canada, though.

How's Lucifer? I have a bottle that I may use for a podcast. Drink Lucifer and play a black metal band.

I wasn't that impressed, to be honest. It might make a good review, though, and the Black Metal pairing is an excellent idea.

The Rochefort 10 (which my wife picked out at the store) was REALLY good, as was the Kentucky Breakfast Stout.
