I guess I should have expected the British to come up with such a boring list of culinary "must eats", but here it is anyway. Starred are the item I haven't tried.

I wonder why they didn't list specific Thai and Chinese dishes? If I've had a fortune cookie, does that count as "Chinese food"?

Agreed. The list seems to go back and forth between extremely broad (fresh fish) to extremely specific (Barramundi). It would have been a lot more interesting if they chose well-known dishes from each of the broad ethnic food groups represented on the list.

It's a really cool idea for a list, but I think the fact that it was chosen by viewers makes it a bit more generic.

Barbecue? Barbecue?! Barbecued what? Or is it the ACTUAL barbecue we're meant to be eating?
