Pretty decent list, but I really don't see Eternal Sunshine being #1 for the decade. Not even Top 10 quite frankly, but I respect your opinion. I'm also a bit suprised that neither Mystic River, Pan's Labyrinth, nor City of God were nominated!
Eternal Sunshine is one of those films that really, to me, could exist in absolutely no other medium. The story may be translatable, but the experience of watching that film is absolutely nontransferable, for me.
The editing, pacing, acting, writing, direction, special effects...they all work together to form a deceptively cohesive whole, and one of the more observant love stories ever filmed.
But that's just a minor part of why I love the film so much.
