HERE EVERYTHING WAS ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!!!
Your results:
lukeprog: 6 out of 7 predictions correct! Congratulations!!! The only category you went wrong was Best Direction. Excellent nose nevertheless. Result: 86%
lbangs: 15 out of 24 predix right. This is a remarkable result! Apart from that, you were the only one with the correct idea for Sound Editing. Chapeau. Result: 63%
AJDaGreat: 13 out of 21 correct. OK, Best Picture and Best Direction have not been right, but the rest is excellent! And the only one to know about Best Cinematography. Result: 62%
dayfornight: 5 out of 9 right. Some great guesses here (those that are not so good are at least original!)! Result: 56%
russa03: 2 out of 6 correct. Before judging now, stop a moment and have a look at russa03's post here below, and you'll understand! Result: 33%
stooky: 4 out 7. In the very last moment, stook's predictions came, and the majority of them were correct. Result: 57%
1922: And now my own results. I'm satisfied with 15 out 24 predix (a tie with lbangs, what an honour, :) ). Apart from that, I was the only one here who guessed all the acting categories right (OK, it wasn't that difficult this year). However I should be more careful about technical awards... Result: 63%
I think, next year they should broadcast the ceremony from Clint Eastwood's living room, so that he hasn't even got to leave his house to accept his award(s).
Thanks for the participation to lukeprog, lbangs, stooky, AJDaGreat, russa03 and dayfornight! I am already waiting for your predictions of the 78th Annual Academy Awards!
Without getting now too much on your nerves: But what was for you the best, the worst and the funniest moment of the show?

I'll get back to you when I've seen most of these films. :?)
Yeah, thanks (you have time will... lets say... the 26th of february). I haven't seen many of these films neither, therefore I'm just guessing.
I'm going for Aviator Best Picture & Direction
Ray Acting & Cinematography
Million Dollar Baby Actress
Sideways Adapted Screenplay
Eternal for screenplay
:?)
Best Original Screenplay - Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Thx!
What about the other categories (it doesn't matter if you just guess blindly.).
Best Film - Finding Neverland
Director - Alexander Payne (Sideways)
Leading Actress - Kate Winslet (Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind)
Leading Actor - Johnny Depp (Finding Neverland)
Score - Finding Neverland
These are really the ones i'd like to win rather than the ones i think will win. I really can't believe ESOTSM isn't in the Director or Film.
We shall all know very soon now. Great list! Thanks for keeping it up!
Shalom, y'all!
L. Bangs
Well, thank you for your guesses!
I enjoyed Christ Rock as host, "Def Oscar Jam", and when he interviewed the people on the street who had never seen any of the nominated films.
I predicted only 10 of 24 correctly.
I'm relieved that I don't have to see Phantom of the Opera now.
Yep, Phantom of the Opera is not really a movie that would interest me.
Now I'm really curious about Million Dollar Baby, because it was even able to beat Scorsese's biopic. Yes, poor Scorsese!
Rock was definetly a good host, but I think I prefer Billy Crystal.
Yes, Billy Crystal is the best, but he says he gets tired of doing it all the time and wants a break.
Did you really stay up all night to see it, or did you tape it?
Million Dollar Baby is not that great. It shouldn't have won.
Ok, if Crystal says he gets tired, it becomes risky!
Yup, the show began at 2:30am (but I also watched the red carpet and the pre-show: 1:00am till 2:30am). The ceremony was over at 5:45am. And I was tired the whole day... :-)
BTW: Which film would you have preferred as 'Best Picture'?
