- Comic I've Seen: Paula Poundstone
- People like Carlin and Maher had very good sets but were so well-rehearsed it didn't make much difference seeing them live vs on TV. Paula can talk naturally and be funny at the same time.
- Concert I've Seen: George Clinton & P-Funk
- Specifically the third time I saw them, at the House of Blues in Orlando. It was four hours nonstop of Kendra Foster (see my crushes list), Michael Hampton doing "Maggot Brain" (see my favorite songs), a JB medley, Gary Shider, & everything else you'd expect.
- Basketball Player: Andrei Kirilenko
- I took notice of him when the Jazz faced the Kings in the playoffs about 3 years ago. He was chasing down players on fast breaks and fouling after the rest of the team gave up. Fun to watch. Plus he looks like Chet Baker.
- Film I've Seen on a Big Screen: Viridiana
- I almost never go out to the movies because the good ones don't play here. Got lucky this once.
- City to Visit: Washington, DC
- I'm not especially well-travelled, so this is mostly US cities in contention. I love all the museums, statues, and even the layout. Everything feels flat and open compared to most big cities.
- Magazine: Playboy (60's-70's)
- Interviews with people like Nabokov, Welles, Cassavetes, Henry Miller, Gore Vidal, Mort Sahl, Peckinpah, Roman Polanski, Anthony Burgess, KVJr., Hunter Thompson. Short fiction by Nabokov, Cheever, Gordimer, Kerouac, Doris Lessing, GG Marquez, Joyce Carol Oates, KVJr., Saul Bellow. Plus pictures of naked ladies. The jokes were usually immature and unfunny, but it catered to the rest of my needs.
- Bird: Crow
- They're pretty, black, and they eat out of dumpsters. They can be tame, musical, or ominous as the mood strikes them.
- Flag: Mozambique
- The only flag featuring a book and an AK-47. I bought one to fly over my garage.

nice choice on the crow... and kirilenko easily has the best name of all time.
You're right, it is a great name. That probably had more to do with it than his playing. Come to think of it, I was watching that game because my favorite player at the time was Vlade Divac, another cool Slavic name.
In the Serbian language word "divac" translates to "a male virgin". :)
Really? It's a wonder that name got passed down.
Actually I'm quite wrong... they speak "ekavica" there so they say "devac". But it was kinda close. :) In Croatian dialect of "ikavica" you actually say "divac".
Alas you would wonder (and laugh too) at how many goofy names I come across in everyday life. :)
Wow, you speak Serbian? :p
So I'm gonna blow the bubble-mystery now. ;) The country I'm from is Croatia and based on that that Serbian, Bosnian and Croatian language are densely simular I can convey a rather well conversation with let's say Serbian friends that I know. Macedonian and Slovenian language also share similarities with these languages, but you got to somewhat strain yourself there to communicate. Anyhow, which country did you think I was from? ;)
Hehe, I thought you were from Germany. :S
Wow, Croatia. That's definitely cool. I've got a friend down there in Serbia! :)
Cool cool cool. ;)
