- Are You Now or Have You Ever Been (2.2) - Angel must clean out his old demons before moving headquarters into the Hyperion Hotel. A flashback episode from 1952. This a rare treat as we see more of Angel's past, but decades after the re-ensoulment and before he was a Champion. Another episode that could be a movie; the acting is superb-- even the one-time-only characters are particularly memorable and intriguing. the writing for this episode is some of the best writing in the Buffyverse EVER. The demon-of-the-week is one of my faves to date. A very poignant, painful, touching story. Includes Angel being lynched by a mob, hmm...
Favorite Quote: Demon: There's an entire hotel here just full of tortured souls who could really use your help. What do you say? Angel: Take them all. - ----
- The Shroud of Rahmon (2.8) - Angel and Gunn must work out their animosities when a case takes a turn for the worst. It's always 'fun' to see Gunn and Angel at each other's throats. :-p Both Gunn & Kate both learn that they can, and MUST, trust Angel. The opening scene was also very different, with Wesley appearing to have gone crazy and talking of Angelus having returned. You really don't know what's happened, so it was a delight to have the near-ending of the episode at the beginning. Angel pretending to be Jay-Don is great also.
Favorite Quote: Gunn: And what am I supposed to do? Sit home and knit? Angel: I could use a sweater... something dark. - -----
- Blood Money (2.12) - Angel disrupts a non-charitable "charity" event given by Wolfram & Hart. While Angel saves the day in a sense, he's still very much treading in the gray with his one-track desire to bring down Wolfram & Hart. Lilah and Lindsey's squirming is always a joy to watch. :-p
Favorite Quote: Anne: (picks up a stack of bills) What's this? Angel: (faces Anne with bloody, bruised face) Blood. Anne: (looks at Angel, then at money) It'll wash. - -----
- Epiphany (2.16) - Angel has an epiphany after sleeping with Darla and goes back to the gang-- only the gang aren't exactly thrilled to take him back. This was a heart-wrencher in seeing Angel crawl back on his hands and knees and finding real anger, hurt, and tough-talk from the gang. Some very touching talks in this episode. Ends on a hopeful note, with Angel agreeing to work for the gang instead of vice versa and proving he can be trusted again.
Favorite Quote: Kate: Anyway, I'm not headed towards another pillathon. I'm very grateful. I never thought you'd come for me, but... I got cut a huge break and I believe...I don't know what I believe, but I have faith. I think maybe we're not alone in this. Angel: Why? Kate: Because I never invited you in. - ----
- Dead End (2.18) - Lindsey gets a brand new hand courtesy of Wolfram & Hart. The only problem is that the hand seems to have a mind of its own. Lindsey is forced to work with Angel and do some soul-searching, which results in his 'departure' from Wolfram & Hart and LA... for now, anyway. This is a well-done Lindsey-centered episode. Great acting AND great singing!!! as always, by Christian Kane.
Favorite Quote: Angel: Excuse me, I'm on a case here Lindsey. Does everything have to be about killing you all the time? - ----
- Honorable Mention
- Disharmony (2.17) - Harmony episodes are always a hoot.
Author Comments:
In no particular order. Those are the episode numbers in parenthesis, NOT numerical ratings. So (2.2) would mean: season 2, episode 2. (Although these are all from season two anyway, duh...)
Cloned From:

this is getting weird lol. do i even need to look at season 3. I love "over the Rainbow" though, you don't have that. i'd swap that for "Shroud of Rahmon"
