I was inspired to create this off beat list while watching COOL HAND LUKE on TV for the umpteenth time. My friend challenged me to come up with another great film that had as much perspiration. (I know, but it was a remarkably unintellectual evening) This is the best I could do. Comments and suggestions welcome. Oh yes, I realize African Queen is not all that sweaty, but seeing Katherine Hepburn perspire forced me to include it.

LOL (= I'm laughing out loud)! You HAVE TO include at least one submarine movie on this list. Let's see...undersea...DAS BOOT?
DAS BOOT would be good as would RUN SILENT, RUN DEEP. But Bertie, you have reminded me of another great naval movie that perspires freely; MISTER ROBERTS. This definately belongs on my list.
Here's what we might call the converse of this list . You'll see in the comments that I almost hit upon your brilliant idea before you did. But "almost" is as good as a mile - to coin a phrase.
Actually this list came about exactly as my comments suggest. What I didn't add was that this was several years ago and the Listology gave me a vehicle to share this foolishness with others. I visited the list you mentioned and made a couple of suggestions.
I assure you, I wasn't suggesting otherwise.
Are you going to add RUN SILENT... to your list, or are you holding out for a sweatier sub?
12 Angry Men?
Lawrence of Arabia? (Well, those desert shots made me sweaty!)
Shalom, y'all!

12 Angry Men for sure, but I have to think about Lawrence (which is one of my favorites). Bridge on the River Kwai comes to mind also.
I have four words for you: A TIME TO KILL. Dude! Those people were sweating rivers. Cool list idea, by the way!
Thanks. I didn't think of this one and you are right they sweat profusely.
The gang at Cheers had this debate in their very first episode. Body Heat (which had Ted Danson in it) and Alien ("Buckets," says Norm) were nominated but the winner was Cool Hand Luke by acclamation.
I'd like to propose Ben-Hur , Spartacus , In the Heat of the Night and Raging Bull but the new champ has to be Do the Right Thing by the Sultan of Sweat, Spike Lee.
What about Papillon? Sweatiest movie of all time.
