- LCD Soundsystem - Big Ideas (single) 7.5/10 .. gives me a nice early stereolab feel with some modern disco added in. towards the end a cool snarly guitar starts that right before the end drifts into a fantastic thick faust-ian freak-out, why, oh why is there not more of that??? sometimes i think that guy could pull off sick electronic twin infitives...
- Hercules and Love Affair - Hercules and Love Affair 6.5/10 it's really growing on me now, in particular blind is a great track.

- Animal Collective - Merriweather Post Pavilion [2009] 6.5/10 ...i'm not impressed.
- The Bug - London Zoo (2008) 6/10 preliminary. not an easy record, lots of different styles i am only slightly familiar with. will return to it. lots of room for improvement, it seems.
- Richard Hell & The Voidoids - Blank Generation (1977) 8/10 great guitar play. i went through scaruffis best guitarists list and found this gem. wow, i love it.
- RELISTEN
- Chinese Democracy-Guns N Roses (2008) 7/10
- still a 7 after another listen. a few songs developed though.
