Author Comments:

I was a latecomer to CDs -- I resisted switching formats until '97, when I found out an album I really really wanted was released CD-only. I still haven't completely reconstructed my old collection. One day, I will buy a good majority of these albums. (This list does not include anything I hated and subsequently sold off or gave away.)

I have some interesting cassettes from the late 80's/early 90's that I'll probably never find on CD because they're long out-of-print. Is your cassette of 8-Way Santa the one with the guy and girl on the cover? I guess they had to recall it because the girl was going to sue or something.

Naw, and I'm kinda glad it wasn't -- the key word for this list is "owned". As in, I don't have any of these anymore. My dad sold all my tapes when I moved east (he assumed that, since I wasn't taking my tape player, I didn't want 'em). I had to do this all from memory. The only one I was real pissed about losing was my copy of "Body Count" with 'Cop Killer' on it, but I eventually found a used CD of that so it's all good.
