Author Comments:
The ones that I've seen are in red.
* =short film
The Lawnmower Man (1992) is not included in this list because it was not based on Stephen King's story and he sued the filmmakers to have his name removed from the credits.
Cloned From:

had no idea there were that many... and i live half an hour from where he lives... an hour where he was born and raised... he's like the most famous person around... you'd think i would have guessed in the 100 area... but i wouldn't have.
Stephen King holds the record for living Author with the most film adaptations of his work and William Shakespeare holds the record for Author living or dead with the most film adaptations of his work.
btw... what are the stars for?
The * = short films, I added it to the comment area. Stephen King, lets student filmmakers adapt his short stories to make short films and he charges them $1.00 for right to do so. Some of those short films are available online at the Stephen King Short Movies Website.
thats nice of him... finally someone with their head on straight.
Yeah, I think so to.
