- 1.Matt Dillon( myself and critics agree that Matt Dillon is not appreciated by the public. All he ever does is show up in wonderful movies and plays his characters with an uncanny percision.)
- 2.Nicholos Cage(Again, Oscar winner Cage gets no respect. Alright so he does sleepwalk through some of his performances. Should we never forget Leaving Las Vegas, Racing With The Moon and Bringing Out The Dead?)
- 3.Bruce Willis( I don't understand this one.Even in the movies that suck he performs well with the shady material he's given.Try being Bruce and act out the roles he's had to with such pathetic screenplays.)

reading your description of/excuse for bruce w. made me ask this question: does choice of role mean nothing here? maybe part of the scrutiny comes from the fact that he's powerful enough to choose any script he wants, but ends up in these horrible pictures! it's not as if he's going to starve if he doesn't accept a role... i'm curious what your take is on that.
You bring up a good point taryn. It seems he could have made some better career deecisions.
Maybe he just wanted out of the dang house and away from Demi!
GREAT list. Kinda like an "underrated" list. Matt Dillon DEFINITELY. I'm going over to add him to mine right now.
I loved Leaving Las Vegas, and I think he CAN be good, but Nick Cage hasn't wowed me in a while. I kinda lost the faith with Face/Off and ConAir. Zzzzz.
I like Bruce Willis, but I don't think he's that underappreciated. If he wants awards, pick more challenging roles.
Jeremy Piven. That's my entry! And he goes and dies after what, 4 minutes of screen time in Black Hawk Down!
I know. When I seen him appear on the screen only to croak minutes later sucked for me. And I agree with the bruce willis thing. He could do a better job picking roles.
For Cage this may have been true when this list was made, but 8 years later his last 6 released movies were: Knowing, Bangkok Dangerous, National Treasure 2, Next, Grindhouse, Ghost Rider.
