Catherine Zeta-Jones is getting on my nerves too, but not nearly as much as the above, and I haven't given up all hope on her yet. She does have a knack to end up in incredibly over-rated fiims, though...
Kirsten Dunst is in danger of joining the above.

You mean just in movies, right? I think Ferrell was hilarious on SNL (so was Chase, for that matter). His movies, however, are a different story...
And I wouldn't mind seeing Tara Reid again. I just wouldn't like to see her act again. :-)
The only one on here that I would disagree with is Reese Witherspoon. Even when she's in bad movies, her bubbly personality makes her role a lot of fun, and I almost always enjoy watching her.
LBangs, I completely agree with you on all of the SNL people (I wouldn't mind adding Adam Sandler to the list, either). I also find most of the other people pretty annoying, especially Tara Reid. She always bothers me.
I have to agree with AJ about Reese Witherspoon, though. She has had a bad role or two (Pleasantville comes to mind), but overall I enjoy her work.
Whoa, Sandler is alright. I mean sure he made some pretty dirt-poor movies at first, but he has improved a litle. I only say this because I loved him in Punch Drunk Love. Thoughts?
I hate every performance I have ever seen Will Ferrell try to give. He is consistently my least favorite part of every film he appears in, and frankly, between me and you, I've hated SNL since the early to mid 80s on, which probably makes me a crank :). A comedian should be funny at least in a few scenes.
Chevy Chase had his moments, but they are all in the far past, and I'm not expecting for any more in the future. The thrust of this list is that I either have always hated the actor or don't expect anything good from them in the feature, therefore I don't want to see them again. A few of the above have done some decent work at some point (but certainly not all!).
Honestly, I don't even find Tara Reid attractive. That long-haired blonde tanned dumb party girl thing just doesn't do anything for me. Maybe I'm missing some male gene, but there ya go. Britney Spears leaves me cold also.
As for Reese, yeah, I figured she would receive the most objections. She used to act, and she was quite good at it, but ever since she discovered America loves her perky persona, one I find fake, cloying, and annoying as all get-out, she has descended to become a rather one-note performer and has done nothing but bother me. She could recover (I think she's going to play Becky Sharpe in an upcoming Vanity Fair adaptation), but I'm not counting on it.
Hey, anyone you'd put on a list like this?
BTW, anybody who only commented on Reese, I'll just let my comments above stand as a response unless anyone responds again or brought up something different.
Shalom, y'all!

Well, if you've hated SNL since then, you probably haven't watched it very much lately. And in that case, you may have missed Ferrell's hilarious impression of Harry Caray, and you may have not seen his great deadpan moments as Alex Trebek in the Celebrity Jeopardy sketches. Then again, you may have actually caught those and still hated them, in which case we'll have to agree to disagree.
I agree with you on Chevy Chase. He WAS funny on SNL, and he was also funny in a few movies, but long ago.
Who would I put on a list like this? Let's see. It seems almost cliche to call Pauly Shore a horrible actor, but I've seen one Pauly Shore movie and it was one too many. The only Alec Baldwin movie I've liked was "State and Main", and even then, his performance was pretty weak; he'd be a good candidate for my list. Oh, and Leelee Sobieski, but I admit I haven't seen "My First Mister", her most acclaimed recent work. If John Candy were still alive, I'd say I haven't liked him since "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles." Dan Aykroyd is in the same boat as Chevy Chase: funny on SNL, funny in older movies, hasn't been funny in a while. And since I had to experience the train wreck that was "Drowning Mona" (and hey, Will Ferrell was awful in that too), I'll add Bette Midler. And the governor of California hasn't done a good movie in a while (though I haven't seen his campaign advertisements, were those any good?). I can usually do without Julia Stiles. And I've had to sit through one too many Martin Lawrence movies that my brother likes... my, you seem to have struck a nerve with me!
I was about to express surprise at Tara Reid's inclusion until I realized I was thinking of Tara Fitzgerald. There aren't that many Tara's acting, are there?
I'm kinda surprised by the "again" in the title to this list. You're clearly only reviewing the good stuff on your "seen" lists. :-) Sure, Chevy Chase, Demi Moore, and Reese Witherspoon you've seen, but the others on this list too? Poor fellow!
Jim, thank you so much for this comment! I wasn't familiar with the name Tara Fitzgerald, so I headed over to IMDb to check her out. In her filmography I see that she's in a movie due to come out next year based on Five Children and It by E. Nesbit starring Kenneth Branagh. That was one of my favorite books when I was growing up, and I'm quite excited now! (If you're unfamiliar with the book you must check it out. My father read it to my sister and I when we were probably 5 and 6 and we absolutely loved it.)
You're welcome! And a premature congrats; Tara Fitzgerald appearing in the adaptation of a favorite book bodes well (Branagh's no slouch either :-).
Tara Fitzgerald is safe from appearing on this list. She's better-looking as well...
Most of the above I either watched in films before I started my list or were in films I caught while flipping channels, something I don't do too often. I don't usually count films I've only watched parts of on my Watched lists, which probably keeps me from sounding too negative!
Pity me.
Shalom, y'all!

Jim, it is safe to say Tara Fitzgerald will never be on this list.

I, like most, disagree about Witherspoon, but I also highly object to the possible inclusion of Dunst. Did we learn nothing from The Virgin Suicides?
Edited to Add: Am I the only one who doesn't hate Will Ferrell? I think the guy's actually kinda amusing. Not hilarious, but funny.
The jury is still out on Dunst. She has enough good stuff out there to barely counter-act the bad, but I honestly find the bad to be pretty bad indeed. I hope she pulls herself off my 'maybe' list (she was fantastic when she was younger), but, er, Spider-Man II is still slated for next year... :)
As for Ferrell, you must not be alone. All my friends love him, but truthfully, if I sorted this list in descending order, he would still be on the top.

I totally agree on Will Ferrell. The ONLY thing he ever had going for him was Sherry Otari. I guess it's one of those different strokes for different folks things AAA.
What did you see Eliza Dushku in that turned you off? If it was a movie, watch her in Buffy before discounted her entirely. And the best example of her acting ability is in the episode Who Are You?, in which she plays Buffy-in-Faith's-Body.
It is her work in Buffy, and especially the last few episodes, that really soured me on Eliza. I guess I just don't get it, but Who Are You and a few of her earlier episodes aren't bad.

If you hate Chris Kattan, you might find this delightfully negative review of Corky Romano amusing. I thought it was hilarious (the review, that is, not the movie). It's from the movie reviews site currently on my list of Joys.
After Old School, ELF, and Anchorman, do you still feel the same way about Ferrell?
(I would have replaced Witherspoon with Dunst. She annoys me like crazy.)
I haven't caught more than ten minutes of Anchorman, but I'm afraid my feelings toward Mr. Ferrell remain incredibly negative.
Sorry. Forgive me?
Shalom, y'all!
