- My time is my own. I begin each day posessing 24 hours. Time allocated to my employer is a grevious tax, and time allocated to spiritual duties is a generous donation.
- Truth: I cannot make or attain one moment of time. All times comes to me purely as gift.
- I am the author of my talents and am better than those who have lesser talent.
- Truth: I was given my talents. I might as well be prideful about the color of my eyes.
- Circumstance mostly determines my thoughts and emotions, which are prime movers of my will.
- Truth: My will mostly determines my thoughts and emotions, which in turn encourage my will.
- The future deserves my primary focus because the past is fixed and the present is swiftly replaced by the future.
- Truth: The future is worth my attention only as it relates to the present, the only temporal realm my will touches.

Think of it a more personal companion to my list Why Christianity Fails. These are the assumptions of my less lucid moments (read: most of my moments). They are opposed to my Christian beliefs to the point of absurdity if I think about them.

If you see me making absurd assumptions you think are opposed to my faith in Christ, please point them out!
well the way i see it is, maybe my time is not my own, but what I do with it is completely up to me, and any time not being exactly what I want to be spending it doing is either a grevious tax or a generous donation, and I would personally classify time allocated to my employer and spiritual duties as such.
Pride is always an attribute that has baffled me among christians. It is one of the seven deadly sins and overwhelmingly a negative thing according to christianity yet christians seem so prideful in most cases, which i guess may be an absurd assumption. Personally I can forgive pride much more from a non-christian, non-believer, who believes himself to be the author of his talents, as I do, but i'm definetly not prideful.
the other two i agree with.
