Author Comments:
this variation on jgandcag's ABC's of Rock&Roll will be under construction for awhile. i obviously had to fudge a bit, but i'm still working out the kinks. be sure to check back for detailed explanations.
Cloned From:

Still working out the kinks, eh? So does this mean the Kinks will eventually replace that godawful Lenny Kravitz dork? :)
Thrilled to see others picking up on this idea, and I await your comments. I would have cloned jgandcag's list as well, but I'm afraid my list would only differ from his on a very few letters, so similar our tastes in rock music are.
To quote Sondheim, "Give us more to see!"

hey now! lenny k has a lot going for him... including tight abs and damn great style, but that's not what we're discussing here. :)
thanks for the encouragement, even if tastes do vary. i'll try to get on the development of this soon, and i'm sure we'll have more to talk about then.
Wow, Im flattered by cloning. Our taste differ greatly but to me that is wonderful. My only advice on the personal Odyssey is be prepared to spend too much time in your own head. I think thats why it has taken me so long to finish the list. Contrary to the impression of that list; introspection is not one of my favorite things.
Good Luck and I will be an avid reader.
well, i write every morning for an hour before i do anything else, so i'm pretty well practiced at introspection, but i still imagine it will take me a while to perfect this list.
and actually this subject is one i've been wanting to write about for awhile--one's musical history is so unique. thanks again for the concept.
Yes introspection comes much easier to woman. I am envious. I usually find it easy to drink a few beers and watch a mindless movie.
Wierd and sad sad news - New Order has hired the Smashing Pumpkin's Billy Corgan as their new guitarist.
Goodness, I hope they don't let him write songs...
Shalom, y'all!

ya that's horrendous. i'm surprised anybody would hire him, let alone them. (i liked billy for the first SP album and then lost all respect and interest.) thanks for the interesting scoop tho.
Hey, where are those detailed explanations you promised us? :-)
man, i havent been on listology in a while. just cruisin' the lists. any list with Amy Grant and Sinead O'Connor on it deserves some attention.
