I'm definitely buying Amnesiac as well. I've seen conflicting accounts as to whether the new album will be more song-oriented (read: prominent guitars) or a continuation of Kid A. I personally don't care. I loved both OK Computer and Kid A, so whatever direction they go with Amnesiac is all right with me. Half the fun is seeing where they'll go next.

P.S. Does it seem like listology is a bit of a ghost town at the moment? Other than you and a couple of others, I think a lot of listologists are taking vacations or something...
Johnny, I have heard the whole album that is why I am definitely buying it. :-) If you have a decently fast connection you too can hear it by going to Capital Records Hollywood and Vine site. I listened to it from there last week. Now if I could just figure out how to save streaming audio to my hard disk. :-)
I have a serious love affair with Kid A, right now. I bought if for my girlfriend a few weeks ago. I can't believe how "out there" yet good it is. I would say that the new one is definitely a continuation of the old. From what I've read all of the music for both albums was recorded at the same time and they sort of logically, stylistically (?) parsed it into two different albums. Amnesiac has another version of a song that was one the Kid A but the name escapes me right now.
I agree that the going seems pretty slow on here right now. Sometimes there are no new comments for a day or two at a time. :-)
I was thinking it's a bit slow lately too. I know I've been piling up movies I've been meaning to write up, so I'll get those up soon, I hope. And I've been working on the financial end too. There are plenty of days where I wish I were just a regular ol' participant. :-) I hope some of our current absenses are due to vacations and not permanent departures.

Speaking of slow 'round here, I'm having lbangs and jblack withdrawal. I wonder if one or both of them are on vacation...
Dan, I dont know if you are in to alternative shit or not. But if so you should check out The strokes album Is This It? It's really good.
I should look at the list a little harder next time I make a comment. You like some alternative.
Go for the Badly Drawn Boy album! Moulin Rouge works much better as a soundtrack than as an album, IMHO.
Shalom, y'all!
