I can't agrue with most of these but I have to admit I've never liked Jane's Addiction. Maybe I just don't get it but I find all their songs extremely repetitive and dull. I could listen to Liz Phair all day. Have you heard any Thee Michelle Gun Elephant? The lyrics are in Japanese but somehow it doesn't matter.

I think the way the songs repeat sounds and themes either makes you mesmerized or bored. I think creates a trance-like state. That is hard to do. Besides, I don't think they are that repetitious. I like it.
Hmmm... Tim Story's Beguiled. I don't believe I've ever heard that one. What is it like?
Fun list. It is very nice to see Pavement get a little respect.
