Jack Nicholson, Cuckoo's Nest. And it's your fav!
Tom Hulce, Amadeus (I'm obviously partial to the film.)
I could name several performances worthy of this list including Nicholson in Cuckoo's Nest. What makes that the greatest film ever is all the intangibles and variables that make good film making in the first place.
What about Charles Chaplin and his The Great Dictator (1940)?
Well, I would place his City Lights performnance before that one.
Amen. His double performance in "Great Dictator" was funny, and the ending speech was quite good, but I think he showed a lot more depth as an actor, both comedically and dramatically, in "City Lights."
But I must admit my favorite Chaplin film is "Modern Times", which had me in absolute hysterics. Not his best performance though.
Modern Times is also brilliant. Lets cut to thew chase though. Chuck Chaplin had many great movies. I'm also partial to The Gold Rush.
My favorite is Charles Chaplin - The Great Dictator.
And, Peter Sellers like Pink Panther.
I mean Peter Sellers like Inspector Clouseau.
Well, I must say Lolita or Dr. Strangelove is his best work. Although The Party is a masterpiece.
