- 1. Apocalypse Now (that should go without saying huh?..)
- 2. River's Edge (you see what i'm sayin'?)
- 3. Hoosiers (great basketball film)
- 4. Blue Velvet (Mammie!)
- 5. Easy Rider (uh huh)

I beg you to reconsider your #1 pick. :-)
I personally could never put Easy Rider, much less Hoosiers or River's Edge, over Rebel Without a Cause. I also treasure Gunfight at the O.K. Corral, which Mr. Hopper has a role in.
Good list, all the same.
River's Edge is a masterpiece.
It is a very good film, and Hopper is used particularly appropriately in it (his character could almost be Easy Rider's Billy later in life, and the contrast between one generation's rebellious youth and another's uncaring one is quite effective). I don't consider it a masterpiece, but it is quite good, and it definitely holds an unique position in the genre of teen films.
Yes it does..
Great list, good order, but I'm a softie for "Carried Away" with Hopper, Amy Locane, and Amy Irving. I think the only other movie that makes me want to go to jail for robbing the cradle would be Lolita ('97). Well, that and "The Parent Trap." LOL
I havent seen carried Away. I must check it out bro.
I just stumbled upon this list and had to make a smartass comment for whenever jblack returns again. Technically, since this is a list of "movies with Dennis Hopper in them", and not a list of "movies featuring Dennis Hopper's best roles" or anything like that, shouldn't "Cool Hand Luke" be on here?
maybe brother.
Welcome back man! Don't go disappearing on us again! :-)
Theres nothing I can do about it Jim, I have no computer or access to one, so whenever i can sneak on one, I will be active. I do promise that brother.
Ah well, somehow I thought your computer situation had improved! Well, I'll look forward to your visits during your absences...
Thanks Jim.
