I keep hearing how totally retarded Furze's records are. I may have to download one just to see what the fuss is about. Just saw the new issue of Terrorizer magazine at lunch and Rotting Christ is on the cover with the caption "the first important metal album of 2007" or something like that. What do they sound like exactly?

My memory is fuzzy, but I remember older Furze material at least being tolerable. New album sounds like it was recorded in a garage by 14 year olds.

For years, I've heard mention of Rotting Christ as some great band. Recently, I checked out their earlier albums along with this new one. While they're a decent band, I feel mostly indifferent toward them. The new album sounds terribly familiar, sort of like a Greek variant of the Gothenberg sound; some Hypocrisy material springs to mind. There's a video on youtube of their most recent music video. I can see some people really liking it, but I find it a little bland.

One of Gaahl's other bands, Trelldom, has a new one (Til Minne) that's really been growing on me. Check it out if you get a chance.
