My Rating System:
***** - Loved it. Worthy of multiple viewings. Might just find its way into my DVD collection one day.
**** - Liked it. Entertaining and enjoyable. I wouldn't mind seeing it again. Recommended.
*** - It was OK. Watchable but not particularly noteworthy. I don't regret watching it, but I won't race to see it again either.
** - Did not like it. Boring, disappointing, or just not my cup of tea.
* - Hated it. Only managed to finish out of sheer willpower. Tedious and/or pathetic, a waste of time.

knowing a lot of people who love spaghetti westerns it's very rare to see people who prefer fistful of dollars to both yojimbo and for a few dollars more... actually I thought I was the only one.

Ah.. but I'm not necessarily a spaghetti western fan, and I'm definitely not a fan of westerns in general. "A Fistful of Dollars" is arguably the least 'western' film in the trilogy. I'm almost ashamed to say my only real beef with "Yojimbo" is that everyone looks alike. In "Fistful of Dollars" it's much easier to distinguish between the rival gangs.
