Films that are really 2003 or 2004 be releases but are being released in the U.S. in 2005 are not counted.
I'm probably forgetting some. What are YOU looking foward to?

I like your list, the Mendes and Crowe films notwithstanding. I'd add "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," "Land of the Dead," "Palindromes" and "Sin City." And, I'd be lying if I didn't admit that I was looking forward to Renny Harlin's cheesy serial killer thriller "Mindhunters" and "Underworld: Evolution" starring Kate Beckinsale in tight vinyl.
Mendes and Crowe may not be provocative or original, but they craft well-made mainstream films that I enjoy.
The trailer for Charlie and the Chocolate factory rubs me the wrong way. Land of the Dead doesn't really interest me, even if it ends up being pretty decent. And Sin City looks like it may turn out much better than I thought after seeing the ComicCon footage a while ago, but I'm still quite worried.
The first Underworld was absolutely horrible and I have no compunction to see a sequel, even if it had ten vinyl-clad Beckinsales. I'm more a 'lace' guy, anyway. Mindhunters looks like a decent premise in an overdone genre that will turn out like crap (just like White Noise).
But, what is Palindromes? I'm guessing it's not at all like 2003's Spellbound.
"Palindromes" is the latest from Todd Solondz if you're into that kind of thing.
Haven't seen any of his work yet. What is 'that kind of thing?'
Anyway, it doesn't qualify for this list because it premiered in 2004 - but I certainly might be interested in seeing it some time.
