Nice list, making the best of a generally bad year (bar Mouse, Franz and Streets, really).

Glad to see Eamon here. And I have to admit Toxic is probably one of the few Britney songs I can tolerate (esp. if the music video is playing).

I've gotten to where I can't make it all the way through "Float On". It really bores me and I never really liked it to begin with.

How about you?

I avoid radio, so the song never really got overplayed for me.

I definitely appreciate the song as a great pop song, but it also works for me because it fits so perfectly with the rest of the album.

I have a lot to say on the subject, so when I have more time, I'll explain.

Did you ever get a chance to hear Delays' Long Time Coming? It was certainly one of my favorite singles of the year...

Shalom, y'all!

I'm searching for it right now, on Warez. I'll tell you what I think if I get it.

How's the music of 2004 treating you?

I am grooving on the love for Coin-Operated Boy. Have you seen the video? I love it. The clip is a fun clash of 80s cheap and Cabaret fun.

I don't know if it is a single, but the Go! Team's Bottle Rocket is worth several listens...

Shalom, y'all!

I'm surprised you picked Have Mercy on Me by Loretta Lynn, when Portland, Oregon was such an awesome single.

I was in the dark when it came to the singles off of this album. I was just thinking about what the first single was, and I had no idea.

Thanks for the tip!

How different would a 'top tracks of 2004' list look like, coming from you?

VERY VERY VERY different.

First off, most singles are not my favorite tracks on the albums...secondly, some of these are from 2003, but were released as singles in 2004.

Let it be known I would LOVE to see a '2004: favorite tracks' list from you.

Wasn't Gay Bar a single from last year?

You may be right, but I wasn't sure when I first added it. Since then, I've forgotten to think about it. I'll check that out.

Thanks!

Is Me and Mia a Pulp Fiction-inspired love song?

If so, I swear they ripped that off of me... ;P

Shalom, y'all!

L. Bangs

No, but it is a wonderfully energetic rock song...but, it would have been cooler as a Pulp Fiction homage.

Toxic is a really good single. I believe britney has nothing to do with the making of her own music. The production on that song is really interesting.
