These are albums I want to hear before I create a "Best of 2004" list.

Early word on Around the Sun does not sound promising - the All Music Guide gives it REM's worst album rating ever. Have you heard anything about the U2 album?
I've just heard the new single, "Vertigo". It's nothing too special, but it is listenable and kind of gritty.
Have you heeard the new Interpol cd Antics yet, pretty damn good I'd say, but weak with a lower case "w" compared to Turn on the Bright Lights. No just joking around but if you are an Interpol fan, then you should grab it or something. weak very very weak...
Have you heard The Arcade Fire's Funeral?
Oh, yes. I would put it in my top 3 albums this year.
