This is proportional to attempts. As in, if there is a movie created just to make money, and nobody expects it to be good, and it doesn't even try to do anything, it might make the list. If there is a movie that is not only attempts lofty hights and is dissapointing, but tries to fool people into thinking that it is good, that is certainly making this list.

Ah, did you dislike Chocolat THAT much?

Shalom, y'all!

Well, what i really disliked about the movie was Miramax's push to make it seem a "meaningful" film. I know that that's not the film's fault, but the film itself was a subpar effort from an exceptional cast (I did like Judi Dench, however). Also, a lot of it is holdover hatred of Cider House Rules. Hallstrom needs to stop adapting books. I just read The Shipping News , I hope he doesn't ruin a veri fine book.

I liked The Grinch.

Also, I didn't personally like Chocolat, but I really don't think it's worthy of this list - I could see it was a well done movie not of my style, and not a complete trainwreck like many other releases that year. Better candidates than those 2 would have been: Highlander: Endgame, 3 Strikes, The Incrowd, Supernova, or Boys and Girls.
