  • The City Of Lost Children - **** This is probably one of my all time favorite movies. It is funny, fightning, and very beautiful. What on Earth was it rated R for? I think that it could be one of the best children's movies of all time, and then they had to go and rate it R! Ron Perlman (did I spell it right?) the guy who played Hellboy, is the strongman One (Yep, that's his name!
  • Mr. Holland's Opus - *** I give this three stars, but only because I feel mercifull today. I really dislike this movie. My mom bought it because she thought it would be an inspiring tearjerker, and she never even watched it. It's a tearjerker all right, and it inspired me to painstakingly record weird bits of dialog to line up with what they are doing on screen (a la What's Up Tigerlily). Another peeve: This movie is so obsessed with the 1960's, I mean the movie was made in 1995 for God's sake. The 60's are over. Watch Taxi Driver.
  • Trainspotting - **** This grim, often extremly funny movie tells the story of a bunch of lowlifes in Scotland in the 1980's. Memorable scene: Mark Renton dives headfirst into a toilet and ends up in some kind of underwater grotto.
