- **One of the finest star vehicles of the 30's, Three Smart Girls is Deana Durbin's debut as singer/onscreen spirfire and it's a sweet blast of kinetic engergy careening by in just over 80 minutes. The three girls, who live with their mother in Switzerland, recieve notice that their long absent father has decided to marry an obnoxious, gold-digging beauty queen. The news sends them racing across the Atlantic, with the help of their faithful domestic, in an attempt to throw a monkey wrench in the nascent nuptuals. Their arrival is an auspicious one as they burst into a restaraunt giggling with excitement and screaming hellos to their father. From that point the movie simply never lets you breath, placing one excellent scene after another until you're hanging onto the edge of your seat, stomach sore after a large amount of laughter. Simply fabulous, do yourself a favour and rent it as soon as possible.
Very Good
- After The Thin Man
- Camille
- The Ghost Goes West
- Libeled Lady
- The Milky Way
- **A very funny if repititious late Harold Lloyd comedy. When Lloyd is on-screen this is one of funniest movies you'll see, when he's not it's kinda flat, which isn't very much. Almost every gag is a doozy, so have fun.

For Reefer Madness, do you mean this one? If so, it should be under 1938, unless you've got another source saying it came a full two years before the IMDB says it did.
You are right...sort of. While being released in the united states in 1938 it was in fact released under several different names in 1936 in a limited way. But I'll move it up as to abate any confusion, allmovie says 1938 for major release too.
Thanks.

Ah, ok. So what source told you about the limited 1936 release?
Um...well allmovie has this listed...
Reefer Madness
1938 - USA - 67 min. - Feature, B&W
AKA Dope Addict [1936]
Doped Youth [1936]
Love Madness [1936]
Tell Your Children The Burning Question [1936]
Blockbuster Video Guide, TLA Film Guide and Facets' as well as quite a few more list it's release year as 1936.
But since there are many IMDb users on listology you might as well go with the popular vote.

Ah, very interesting! I just go with IMDB for convenience, though I realize there are many conflicts. For example, almost every source I'd read said The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari was from 1919, but the IMDB said 1920. For consistency, I went with IMDB's listing of 1920. Not that it really matters...
It's all just a big crap-shoot anyway, since you could list starting date for production, the date the film was mastered or the date of it's theatre release. I generally just try to get it in the right place give or take a year. I've actually used a bizarro reference for most of the dates...www.myvideostore.com which has many yearly listings for releases.
