I decided to limit this list to recurring characters. And Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie are not eligible.

he's a great character i think. him and skinners is a great team, im in full support for your selection there AJ.
I declared my love of Superintendent Chalmers here. His combination of gullible and hardass just evokes sitcom humor at its finest.
Why ya gotta do this to your ol' buddy Gil?
All my fav. characters are on there, I love Moe, Lionel Hutz and Dr. Nick. The only ones I would add are Groundskeeper Willie or Ms. Hoover.
Thanks for the comments! I've always thought Groundskeeper Willie got treated too unfairly. He's been killed four times in Treehouse of Horror episodes, been fired due to Mr. Burns's oil well, been deported, had his home destroyed by creamed corn, had a beehive thrown at him, etc., etc. And yet he never stops helping the other characters - he saved Bart from an angry wolf, he gave Homer the evidence to disprove the sexual harassment charge, he helped dig Bart out of the well, he deprogrammed Homer from a cult, and he saved Santa's Little Helper from being trapped in a vent.
No Milhouse; list sucks
You know what? You're absolutely right; he's easily a better character than Gil. I'm going to change that.
