I have numbered only those recordings where I've heard the full album. (In many cases, I've heard select songs, but not the whole album / CD.) In the case of classical music, I have often heard the specfic versions listed, but in some cases, I have heard a recording with comparably high-quality performers. From looking at this list, I learn that I'm a musical novice and dork. I'd better get cracking on exposing myself to some new stuff (or the whole version of the ones where I've heard selections!).
Some of the items in a list are omitting the letter "o"...I may have done something unthinking and naughty while I was universally replacing some other nasty quirks. Apologies for any resulting confusion.
