Author Comments:
I know every song is not for every person, but it's hard not to like these songs. I tried to not list a bunch of songs from the same few bands, but some artists produced so much good music that they had more than one song that belonged on this list. I decided not to list cover songs, but if I had Guns N' Roses' cover of Knocking On Heaven's Door, and Van Halen's cover of Girl You Really Got Me would have both made the list.

Great list !
I currently have 'Smoke On The Water' as the ringtone on my cellphone.
Before that I had 'Sunshine Of Your Love' by Hendrix/Cream.
Your compilation is quite complete. It covers different moods and comes from a variety of bands. I really enjoyed reading your list of greatest rock songs because there were many on the list that I would consider great, too.
You have done a good job and I am really impressed that you have kept it to 100 of the greatest, not 105 or 300 of the greatest.
I really like your list. The only problem I have, is that is seems to be more 'heavy' rock. There's no Beatles, Eagles, or Billy Joel on there. I don't know if you just don't like them, or if you just concentrated on more 'rock-like' songs.
yeah i must agree.
a good list.
a hundred times better than that rolling stones pathetic list.
n i agree with the author about that covers. knockin on heaven's door is the best cover song.
