That Allmans album's the only one I've owned
in vinyl, cassette, and CD formats. Still
amazing in this century. And I ask again -- was
there anything worth listening to during the 80s?

I don't know about the 80's but how about "Get your Ya Ya's" by the Stones for your live list.
Let me guess--Phish fan, right? I like the Allmans and Bruce choices and the Feat, but you left off some other GREAT Fillmore concerts-HumblePie and Jimi. The Jimi exclusion(esp @ the expense of Phish, tho they are OK..)I especially take issue w/;Band of Gypsies, esp in the re-released expanded form is a pinnacle/pinochle of live guitar performance;funk, groove, hard rockANDmetal(though someone's bound to take issue w/that),ALL are on view.
Who's Phish?
Without seeing your posting, I actually put
on my old vinyl copy of Gypsies about a month
ago, and you're right. It should knock ALO
off the list. I also have Humble Pie from the
Fillmore, which I think you're referring to,
and every time I try to play it (like every
5 years) I find it self-indulgent and
unlistenable. Which is what some people say
about Phish.
