Some might say that a few of these are "more" important than another, personally or historically, but it looked like a good order to me today.

I'd include Bruce Springsteen over about half of these artists personally.

And depending on what you define rock as, it's hard not to include Nirvana's contribution.

But a good list for sure.

I don't think Bruce Springsteen should be in the top 10. Sure, he has plenty of good songs, but is his music that original? You take 1/2 Dylan (folk music) and 1/2 Beatles (old fashioned rock n' roll) and you have his style.

I'm not even a huge Bob Dylan fan, but I'm sure a lot of people would have him in top 10 lists for bringing political and folk music to the forefront.
