I'm very curious to know which version of Gimme Some Lovin' is your fave. Did you know Spencer Davis released two different ones? The more famous one was overdubbed a la Sounds of Silence and is the only one I have heard, but no less of an authority than Colin Larkin proclaims the original (minus piano and much layered vocals and percussion) as one of the two best singles ever released!
I'm not sure that the original ever received much if any airplay in the States, where I'm from, but it seems to have its fans...
