The Oscars - 2009

Tags:

Okay, so this is how my Oscar list works.

Each category before the Foreign Language category is ordered by my preference, with my favorite (the person or film I think should win) on top.

The first time a film is listed, I give my star rating (out of four stars) for the film in general.

My prediction is bolded and italicized in each list. This is who I predict will win.

And no, I didn't think about these or research them nearly enough this year. I was too busy watching them!

Good Lord what a crappy year this was.

My thoughts exactly.

The Garden? Wow. IIRC, you have a knack for correctly predicting Best Doc upsets, so I'm almost tempted to change my predictions. So what makes you think The Garden is a winner?

Well it is quite good, it takes place in most of the voters' backyard, and even has some Academy members acting nobly to boot! I am probably wrong, but since all the documentary voters had to watch it, I suspect it might have won them over!

Me, I still slightly favor Man on Wire, but it is close...

Shalom, y'all!
