Bare with me as I am only 15 , so don't abuse me for not having many old bands in there :)
Criticism is welcome as long as it isn't all out abusive.
Actually, most of these bands are 'older' in my eyes. In fact, I'm hard pressed to find any of them that began less than a decade ago. A good bit of them are early 90's, and some even 80's. Then there's Zeppelin....and who doesn't like them?

Yeah, I agree. I've been collecting music for about 8 years and these are definitely many of my favorite bands. The greatest albums combine some hard rockin' riffs, meaningful lyrics, and that amorphous ability to tap all colors of life's emotional spectrum. My personal favs are Dredg and Tool. I'm also a big fan of The Smashing Pumpkins. Some people can't get past Corgan's nasal whine, or his ego, but the guitar work and lyrics are phenomenal. And yes, Zeppelin is the grandaddy of ultimate rock, no contest.
