Get around Windows 30 Day Activation
After 30 days you can't login to Windows without activating it first. To get around this, goto the activation screen, then press [Windows + U] to bring up the narrator. Click on the top left corner, you get a menu. Click on 'About' and then click on the link to the microsoft website. You'll get IE open. Now you can go to My Computer by typing it in the bar. To get the rest, type C:\Windows\explorer.exe and you're done.

The "Open With Dialog box when opening a drive" problem
One reason for this is that the "autorun.inf" file gets corrupted by a worm. I fixed it by...
1. Run a scan of your entire hard disk to take out the virus/worm that caused the problem.
2. Go to command prompt(run->cmd)
3. Use the following commands
cd /D [drive]
attrib -h -s -r *.inf
del *.inf
4. Go to Tools->Folder Options->View->Show hidden files and folders.
5. Open an unaffected drive and copy the autorun.inf to the affected drive.
6. It should work fine now or after a restart.
