TV on DVD

Old shows on DVD are so great. I do question the logic in some choices for boxed sets, while other languish in the vaults. It may have to do with rights, and the state of the source material. Can I expect the "Hello Larry" complete series before I get to see season 2 of "Green Acres"? The Scifi shows come out pretty quick.

I am not happy with the rip-off artists out there. By that I mean boxed sets that could be on one or two disks, but span 5 instead to pad the container size. I think most people by now know you can fit 6 hours per side on one DVD. So 4 30 minute episodes on one disk, is a rip off. Its also a waste of materials. DVDs are made of petrolium products. Its an efficient medium. Utilize it TVwood!

Gripes aside. I have an entire binder of just TV shows on DVD. Old public domain stuff I picked up for a buck, and expensive box sets alike. Sometimes when I am bored, I do not want to invest 101 minutes to a movie. I just want to pop in a 30 minute escape.

Amen!
