I now pronounce you chuck - a coming out classic?

Spoilers abound:
I was not sure what to expect from Adam Sandler and Kevin James. I am not one of those guys that gets all offended by political incorrectness. I cringed every so often at some of the stereotypes in the movie. But as I got through it, I felt it was a fairly well conceived portrayal of guys in that situation.

First time in a gay bar, experiencing gay bashing, for the first time, seeing your buddies treat you different in the locker room. Its all in there.

When Ving approached Adam Sandler I was not prepared for the outcome of the scene. The movie changed at that point. It started to be real. Not unlike the Kevin Klein / Tom Seleck kiss scene in another gay/notgay movie. It all got tied up pretty cute at the end, but overall, I think it was positive. In many ways, it was a straight man's gay movie. People often say being gay is just like being straight, except for what we do with our Hoo-Hahs. It really isn't. I think this movie may be a better film to have friends that have been shocked by someone's coming out process.
