The Pebbles Songs

- Who are The Pebbles you might ask if you are not from Belgium, well they are in my opinion the greatest rock group to have come from here. Fred "Becky" Beekmans and Bob "Bobbott" Baelemans formed in the 60's "The Flintstones" but changed their name to The Pebbles and recorded a string of hits all songs they wrote. All in English with great lyrics and music. If you haven't heard their albums "Here Come The Pebbles", "The Pebbles" or "Close Up" you should certainly give a listen to "The Best Of The Pebbles" CD. If you're a Beatles fan you could be familiar with their "Incredible George" single written for George Harrison who praised them in a letter for their great song. Had it not been for bad management The Pebbles would be on Apple for which they were invited. Their famous manager just wanted too much money. they played the opening act for Jimi in Paris at the famous Olympia. If you are a rock fan you owe it to yourself to give them a listen, believe me you won't regret it. Every friend I have ever introduced the music to in USA was knocked out by them. today it sounds as fresh as it did back then.
