Batman (1989) D: Tim Burton 126 Mins

Burton’s unique and dark style creates a world formed perfect for that of the Dark Knight, which spawns through four very different films. The first film is visually captivating. The camera flows around the masked vigilante as he kicks some serious ass. Keaton is second only to Bale as the best Batman. He’s funny when he needs to be, charming, and strong. The great detective faces his greatest of foes, The Joker. Nicholson is absolutely fantastic. His performance is amazing. Basinger is hot as hell. Dark and fantastic, WB picked the perfect director and a nearly perfect cast for the start of this series of films.
