  57. Ken Burns' Baseball ... A ... great doc. series. Reignited my interest in the sport, at least in how it USED to be.

  61. The Simpsons Movie (T) ... A- ... about as good as possible considering the track that The Simpsons has taken the past several seasons... about comparable to a Season 8 or 9 Episode. Well worth it.

  75. Axis of Evil Comedy Tour ... B ... unfortunately, the experience was lessoned as I'd heard most of the really funny bits already in an NPR interview. Above average comics, but just barely.

  78. Jaws ... C- ...had never watched this film in full, and at this point in time, it falls flat...
  79. Breach ... A+ ... absolutely top notch, deeply moving...

  81. Run Lola Run ... B+ ... great acting, great direction, great cinematography... great film!
  82. Zombie Prom ... B- ... well, let's see.. it's a short film in the "horror musical" genre, starring Ru Paul. It was also free on iTunes. Had its moments, and worth a watch, but nothing too amazing.
  83. Angels in America ... B+ ... a generally well done series with a horrible ending. Far too preachy. Sign of the times it was created within.
  84. No Direction Home ... B+ ... viewed as a way to understand my father a bit better. Nicely done doc.
  85. Solaris (the Russian original) ... C ... probably just my own short American attention span, but I didn't find much worthwhile in this one... going to read the book though.

  87. Werewolves and Lollipops ... A ... Patton Oswalt is hilarious. CD is better than DVD in this double set...

  90. 2001: A Space Odyssey ... B ... interesting, but slow. Part of what makes it unique... probably suffers more with passing time than most films.

  131. Babylon 5 Season 1 ... C- ...couldn't make it through it, but apparently it's not necessary to enjoy the rest

  191. Dune (Lynch version) ... C+ ... all right, I suppose. I imagine that for a fan of the book, this is largely a travesty. Gonna have to read it at some point...

A ... whether you agree with the validity of the information in this documentary, it's hard to argue against the wisest course of action being one where we take steps to protect our own environment before we have no environment to protect. The Amazon reviews are amusing...

  201. A Mighty Heart ... B+ ... powerful film with an extremely well done conclusion; crushing, although I'd recommend literature on the subject over a film. Somehow it seems more fitting.

  204. Religulous (T) ... A ... entertaining, biased, brutal plea for a reconsideration of how religion fits into the human race. Thoroughly enjoyable.

  213. The Passion of Joan of Arc (T) ... B+ ... saw this with a live orchestra playing music designed to go with this film. Very well done and a great experience.

I'm amazed at how many people disliked the film, and even more amazed at how many people feel it's a "horror film", and fails at that. Well, of COURSE it fails at being a horror film, because it ISN'T one...
